TODD NEALE

After FX Animator

Todd Neale, former expat living and working in New York and Los Angeles, recently moved his brood back home to Melbourne, where he has re-established his production company Norman J.

Todd, one of the founding members, and former Art Director at Troll Company in NYC, has been designing for film and television for over 15 years in Los Angeles, New York and most recently here in Australia.

Educated in the Swiss Alps, at Art Center (Europe) and receiving his BFA from Art Center Pasadena. Todd had a lucky start to his career as a designer at R/GA Digital Studios, NY, where he helped build it’s motion graphics department.

Todd’s collective body of work now including film titles for Sidney Lumet, broadcast graphics for HBO, VH1 and a myriad of commercial work including Volvo, Fidelity, AMC, Sundance and ABC. His signature style, simple, elegant and fun can be seen is his some of his recent work for SESAME STREET.

Unafraid to explore out of his comfort zone Todd has directed work in live action, full HD video, film, stop motion, 2D & 3D animation and on occasion has been known to use a pencil.

His work covers the motion landscape from animated billboards in Time Square, for New York City 2012 Olympic Bid, movie titles, documentary features, web video TVCs and much more.

Recognized by the Art Directors Club, Print Digital Design Annual, Broadcast Design Association, The One Show, Communication Arts, How Magazine, Type Directors Club and recently Todd Received an Emmy Nomination for his work on NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell.

Todd, always keeping an eye on the creative world in Australia is now delighted to be part of it. Convinced his distinct passion for design and storytelling will see his best work ahead of him here in Australia.
