The Australian Directors Guild Awards celebrate the creative achievement of screen directors in film, television, advertising and new media platforms.
A highlight of the 2009 awards was Geoffrey Rush presenting director Scott Hicks with the Outstanding Achievement Award for an outstanding body of work.
Six new categories have been announced for this year’s Australian Directors Guild Awards.
As well as the traditional drama, TVC and documentary categories, this year we have included a couple of new categories including Children’s TV, TV reality / Light Entertainment as well as three new interactive digital categories to reflect the constantly changing media landscape. We have also reinstated the student category.

2010 ADG Award Nominees Announced August 23
Winners will be announced at the Australian Directors Guild 2010 Awards dinner at the Star City Astral Room in Sydney in September. Nominees will be announced and tickets will be on sale in August.
